Dead Ringer

A birthday blaring of the Herald's Trumpet™ for Middle Earth® faerie duster,
John Ronald Randolph Robert Reginald Reuel Tolkien. Better known among his legion of eternally man-childish fans as J.R.R.R.R.R.Tolkien, the Lord of the Bloody Ring™ was born on January 3, 1892 in a hobbit-hole in Rivendell — a village in Worcestershire that I'm told was annexed to Birmingham, though I find no record of it. A moment of reverent silence — or bloody indifference, if you're of a mind — for the fanciful, which is to say, torturously long-winded, scribbler.
